Your profile and language
Everything of yours is in the account menu: the avatar, at the bottom left of the side bar.
Open Settings
Section titled “Open Settings”In the account menu, choose Settings. A window opens with General, Account and Usage in the left bar, in the Preferences group, and a Customize group with Skills and Connectors. Usage shows your usage for the month (see Your monthly usage).
Account has four sections:
- Profile: with Upload photo (or Change photo) you pick an image, and Remove photo takes it off. The Name is a field that saves itself: type and leave the field (or press Enter) and the “Name updated” notice appears. Escape goes back to the saved value. There you also see your Email, the one from the Google account you sign in with: it can’t be changed.
- Git: the Commit email is the one the agent uses to sign the changes it saves in your repositories; it saves the same way as the name, and if you leave it empty, it uses your email.
- Account: Log out of all devices asks for confirmation and closes your session everywhere, in this browser too, and you land on the sign-in page; on your other devices it can take up to a minute. You also see how to Delete your account (an admin writes to Nouter; a member asks an admin of their organization), your Role (Owner, User or Custom), your Plan and the Organization ID, which you can copy with Copy ID.
- Active sessions: the list of where you signed in, with the device, the place and the date, isn’t available yet.
General has three sections:
- Appearance: the Theme is picked with three icons (System, which follows your computer’s, Light and Dark), and Motion can stay on System or go to Reduced, which cuts the animations. Both are remembered in that browser.
- Dictation: for now it detects the language on its own; you can’t choose it yet.
- Notifications: the alerts you get.
In Account, the rows for what the agent calls you, what you do for work and the instructions for the agent, and in General the rows with a badge in place of a control, aren’t available yet: they show so you know they’re on the way, but they do nothing. If you are an Owner of the workspace, you also see, in General, Usage alerts (Always on) and the Daily requests summary, the email or Slack message that gathers, once a day, the requests waiting for an admin. You can turn it off with the switch, and turn it back on there even if you turned it off from the email’s link.
To close Settings, use the X at the top right. On a phone, ‹ Settings goes back to the list of sections. The search box at the top also finds individual settings: try “photo”, “theme” or “role”.
